Sunday School

will start again in the Fall

All the youth are invited to come and participate in Sunday School/Bible Study each Sunday morning from 10:15 am to 11:15 am - Sunday School is lots of fun and a great opportunity to learn about our Savior Jesus Christ.

Don't forget to make use of the many Christian books and videos in our library for children, teenagers, and adults.  "The Veggie Tales" videos and books by Janette Oke are just a few of the items available.  Please see Linda if you have questions about checking them out.

Do you have a MP3 player, iPod, or similar device?

KFUO, the radio station owned and operated by The Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod, began podcasting in early 2005 - ahead of most radio stations of any type.  KFUO stands for - KEEPING FORWARD, UPWARD, ONWARD and was founded in 1924 and its current home is on the Concordia Seminary campus in St. Louis.

The station started Internet streaming in the late 1990's which allows listeners to hear programs over the internet all over the world as they are being broadcast.  Podcasting enables listeners to get the programs they want anytime they want.  The AM station focuses on talk, interviews, and worship music programming and is the voice of the Reformation on the radio airwaves.

You can learn more about KFUO, its programming, Internet streaming and podcasting at www.kfuo.org.

2007 LCMS Youth Gathering Event

Web Site:  http://www.lcmsgathering.com/

The National Gathering is one of the major projects of the Youth Ministry Office of The Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod.  The Gathering carries forth the vision of Youth Ministry by providing opportunities for young people and adults to boldly come together in the name of Jesus Christ to proclaim, celebrate and witness their salvation through Him, rejoice in the fellowship of their church and be affirmed and nurtured in their lives as God's people through Word and Sacrament.  Youth Gatherings provide an arena to raise the visibility of youth ministry within The Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod.

FROM OUR CUB SCOUT

The bulletin board I made for Cub Scouts is about Jesus’ life.  The reason I made it is because I’m trying to earn the religious emblem.  I’ve been working in a “God and Me” workbook.  The workbook has three sections.

The first section was the story of my life.  It was easy.  I had to do a project.  I interviewed my grandmother.  She told about when she was eight.

The next section was the story of Jesus’ life.  I learned how Jesus lived his life.  The project that I did there was the bulletin board by the front door.  The project took time to do but I finished it and it was a little hard and fun.  The hardest thing was finding the materials.  I got the materials from downstairs in the church basement.  I used old Sunday school materials to tell the story of Jesus’ life.

In section three, I am learning the story of Jesus and Me together.  There is a project for this section too.  I hope you enjoy the bulletin board I made.  If you have any questions, I will be happy to answer them.
